Little surprised at some of Pat's songs on this one, as " I Don't Mind At All", "Mary's Prayer", & "What About Me" were all Top 40 hits. Not all that obscure. And "What About Me" was almost a Top 40 hit TWICE...it re-charted in the late 80's as well.

Pat doesn't bring too much really obscure stuff to the table usually anyway, though. Right? I mean in the past Gary brought far more obscure stuff in, and now I think April has kind of picked up that ball and run with it. I really liked most of the stuff she played on this episode and even though some of the stuff isn't that old it's hard finding any of it to purchase…. (although now thinking about maybe you're referring to him saying on the show that they were obscure. In that case, yeah I agree with ya. "Mary's Prayer" was even used a lot in There's Something About Mary.)
I had forgotten about "What About Me?" until he played it though. Within 2 seconds I was like "Oh, yeah…. I remember this one."
All in all a good episode. Kyle sounds like he's finally feeling a little more comfortable speaking up. This was easily the most he's ever contributed. Maybe it's only with certain hosts he feels comfortable? Who knows….
Oh and don't know if anyone caught (or cares) but April didn't mention the artist for the song "Comeback" that she played. It's Tunic.

My guess is Kyle feels comfortable enough with the tech side of things that it doesn't take all his attention now. I've been enjoying his increased input as well. Back in the original era, I always liked it best when all 3 people were bantering back & forth. We're getting more into that with the new folks.
As far as my comments about obscurities - I just found it a little odd that there was a lot of "I don't know anything about these guys" type talk when we're talking about 3 Top 40 hits.
And I'm fuggin' LOVING some of the stuff April brings in. I really need to start checking out the Spotify show playlists...
