Glad it shows up so large here, because this episode artwork is FANTASTIC. Love how you snuck Dirty iPod in the corner, Glen.

nice art work. this episode didn't really do much for me. I don't read comics so had little interest in what they were discussing. but even the song selections weren't too thrilling. I usually look forward to discovering at least one tune per episode and this one just didn't live up to those expectations. Having said that this dude who won (and did a great thing for Smile Train) did a fine job as a guest host.

I actually enjoyed this one, but I agree that it wasn't much of a "music discovery" episode. I did dig the more laid-back, loose vibe of this one.

As a comic book fan this was pretty great. I could listen to Travis Pat and Kyle talk that stuff all day. Travis is awesome becuause he talked about X-factor. Won over.

The Kinks have at least 3 good comic book songs I'm sure it was hard for Pat to just pick one.

HOWEVER Wally West and Barry Allen are not basically the same and Wally is 1000xs better and screw Geoff Johns for taking him away from us! Also thank you Geoff Johns for some very good Wally stories before then.

Seriously nerdy Speedster breakdown was great.

if I wasnt on my phone I'd post a few comic inspired songs I love/I will when I get back to a computer.

I'm not a massive comic book nerd any any stretch, but I kinda patted myself on the back a little when I "got" the song Travis used for "Watchmen" before it was explained.

On the art for this show I loved how you have the Matt Belknap costume in the case Jason Todd style. That is awesome.

I'm not the biggest moe. fan but I like some of their songs, especially that one. Doesn't hurt it is about Captain America.

And then there is the Kinks giving out some Golden Age JSAer love.

Gonna double dip on Bowie, the first one is obvious for fans of DC Comics various superheroes who shared that moniker over the years, the second one contains one of my favorite Bowie lines and is related to Mutants (or Homo Superior.)

Also pretty much every Adam Warrock song because he is great. But let me just pick two.

Sinister Six

And

I know that I am not a good message board member, I come in and sniper comments and then run away, buuuut, I have now heard Anthrax on Rock Solid, that is pretty close to the best (where is the Judas Priest?).  I think it is all sooo good.  You could go with the fact that some Comic Books have been made about The Dark Tower series by Stephen King and stay with Anthrax and "Lone Justice".

Anthrax wrote a lot about Stephen King books, The Dark Tower, The Stand, Misery, and probably more I don't know about.

Okay and now that I have made it this far, Travis you are my hero, with some very nice metal inputs.  You played Judas Priest.

By the way being the Priest fan that I am I can tell you this: I don't know the breakdown of K.K. to Glenn on Hell Bent for Leather, I don't believe they started listing them until Screaming for Vengeance (yes they really did).  However I believe that it goes K.K. Glenn on Hell Bent, though I want to say when I see clips of them live that Glenn plays the whole thing.
