Haven't seen it, but I was just listening to the new live record while exercising. I think it sounds good, as long as you're aware of DLR's limitations at this point.
Dave's voice makes me cringe so much these days. I'm a fan but it's hard for me to get thru listening to him attempt to hit these high notes he shouldn't be attempting.
it all goes back to 1994. I remember him doing interviews saying he found new octaves in his voice he didn't know he had. ever since then his voice just hasn't been the same.

Yeah - the last DLR solo record I bought was that "DLR Band" thing. Even then the voice was pretty much gone. I thought they did an OK job of fixing things up on that last VH album, which I honestly loved ( to a surprising degree, frankly ).
yeah "a different kind of truth" was pretty good. much better than I expected. But i can't help but hear that album and think how insane it would've been if it had been made in, say, 1986 when Dave still had his voice and Mike was there to back him up.
