Do you have a band/artist that's a personal favorite that you try to get people into whenever you can? I know I do...here's 3 off the top of my head.

1. THE WILDHEARTS. This band had a good amount of success in the UK over the last 20 years or so. A few legit hit tunes, & a fan base that still goes pretty strong today. Their main singer/songwriter ( Ginger ) is one of the most talented people out there, IMO. I've always described them as an unholy alliance of Metallica & The Bay City Rollers. Here's a taste :

2. TSAR. Power pop band out of LA. First starting putting out albums 13 years ago, took some time off, & came back a couple years ago. Their self-titled debut album is one of, if not THE, #1 album in my all-time Top 10. Such a perfect record that I'm just gonna post the whole friggin' thing below. And I'll add the single/video from their comeback EP.

3. DAMONE. Sadly defunct hard pop band from of Boston. Released the brilliant "From The Attic" in the early 2000's. Then the guy that wrote all the songs on that album bailed, & they picked up the pieces with a new main songwriter. AND SOMEHOW GOT EVEN BETTER. They returned in 2006 with the damn-near-perfect "Out Here All Night". This album should have been so got-dang massive. You can probably buy it for a penny online...just fuggin' do it. Here's a couple tracks from it.

Tsar would've been the No. 1 band on my list, MonoStereo (should've guessed you were a fan from your screen name). And they have new music out? Must... have... now!

AAAAAHH...a fellow TSAR fan! Nice!

They released an EP called "The Dark Stuff" last year. You can get it here : www.amazon.com/The-Dark-Stuff-EP-Tsar/dp/B009DKS4MO/ref=sr_1_2

iTunes, too.

They were also selling it on CD thru a store on their Facebook page, but it looks like it's down at the moment.

Supposedly they're going back into the studio soon. Fingers crossed.

I was pretty high on Steel Panther when I first discovered that they existed.

I will always recommend Rush and Jethro Tull to anyone looking to go from casual rock fan to a rock fan with a slightly deeper understanding of album rock

I also love early Prog Rock and will try to push friends into it
