I always had a thing for Patty Smythe back in the day, loved Scandal and her solo stuff too (as well as her appearance on Bands Reunited).. she'd be a great guest to try and nab Pat!
Agreed. I like that album that "Hot Night Crash" is from, cuz they keep it punchy. That last record or 2 just seemed kinda listless.
BTW - I'd never seen the video for that song. And that guy at roughly 1:45 made me laugh out loud.
I saw SH live twice...once opening for The Mooney Suzuki, & once headlining. They were a really good pairing with MS. And the headlining show was good, too - even though the venue ( El Torreon here in KC ) was/is a completely ****hole. I'd go see 'em again if they toured the US ( which I don't think they've done in years, right? ).
Get the idea cross around the track Underneath the flank of thoroughbred racing chasers. Getting the feel as a river flows. Would you like to go 'n shoot the mountain masses?
Jenny Lewis from Rilo Kiley is one of my favorite musical ladies. I saw her live a few years ago in Atlanta, and she is very attractive. And maybe St. Vincent?
The Runaways completely destroyed my little 15 year old brain - especially Joan Jett and Lita Ford. To this day, a woman with a guitar makes me feel all funny inside.
In addition to those already mentioned, I'd add: Jane Wiedlin ( Go Go's), Melora Caeger ( rasputina), Kim Shattuck ( Muffs), etc etc
any of you know who Lisa Leveridge is? She played with Courtney Love a few years ago. I saw them at the Fillmore in SF and she was HOT. I mean.. stunning hot!!!!
