yeah he's definitely an A-hole. I'd say he has about 10 songs I like. The ones you mentioned Tom are good. The only album of his I own is Scarecrow. That's obviously his peak.
off topic a bit I think Pat should've talked more about his & his buddy's history, share a few more stories to get a better sense of their friendship. Like the McDonald's thing about Jim getting fired.
I think he needed a lil' more of that in the episode.
Let's remember that his friend isn't a pro comedy/broadcaster/whatever, though.
I'll admit I was kinda dreading this one, as I'm not a big Mellencamp guy. But the beauty of the episode for me was reminding me of several songs ( stuff like "This Time" ) that I had forgotten all about over the years that I actually DO like.
I wouldn't say I'd buy a "best of" or anything, but the episode was a pleasant surprise for me.
