This is a pretty great book about the origins of Van Halen up through their first tour. That's where it ends. Very well researched. Very interesting to read how integral Dave was to the look, sound and success of that band. If you're into the band or rock bios it's worth checking out.

I love old crappy late 70s movies. the ones that are either a rip-off of American Graffiti or Car Wash. Always set in SoCal and always inhabited by a bunch of wackos. Well, I found this gem streaming on EpixHD. It's essentially Car Wash set in a record store. If you like these "so bad, they're good&q...

Would love to hear a compilation of THE STARCHILD..!! Pat's impression of Paul Srtanley is a crack up..!!! Is there a collection of all the Starchild's "guest appearance" on the show? Also a Dirty Ipod collection would be awesome too :)

I'm not gonna be online a whole lot for the next 36 hours or so, so I wanted to wish everyone the most happy whatever-it-is-you-celebrate possible. ( and don't forget to watch "Rock Solid" guest Mike Schmidt on "Wheel Of Fortune" Christmas Night )

I missed the first little bit of the Pardcastaton due to streaming problems on my phone, working now, BUT I believe we just had our first musical guest in Actor/Singer/one of Jimmy's Crushes, General Hospital's own Jack Wagner! I'd love Ellis Paul to show up but he has 2 show in Georgia tonight so I hav...

I just listened to the first episode "Chapter One." It's okay. Hard to judge after one episode but it feels like it hasn't quite found it's groove yet. I'm sure, in time, he'll have a better handle on the structure (or maybe he already has it figured out since he's up to Episode 4 this week.) An...

Simply, there really aren't many. The one area I'd suggest we all stay away from it politics. There's all kinds of places for that online. But even there, I suppose if it can be done politely... Of course, if I think it gets outta hand I'll shut it down. Other than that, go nuts.

Maybe this should be in the music forum, but what the hey. I thought it might be a good idea to post some music-related info about ourselves, to get to know each other a little better. You'll get an idea of what I'm after when you see what I write, hopefully. As is the case for a lot of people my age, the first...
