I just finished reading the new KISS book "Nothin' To Lose", & started "Look Wut I Dun" - the autobiography of Slade's drummer Don Powell.

Anyone else a sucker for the "rock 'n' roll bio" wing of the library?

I was reading a lot of those a few months ago... Pete Townshends book, Keith Richards, Peter Criss, Ace Freheley..

I'm about a third ( 100-ish pages ) into that aforementioned Don Powell bio, & I'm struck by how humble the guy is.

Coming off of reading the latest KISS book, it really shows what gasbags Gene & Paul are comparatively.

I enjoyed the Townshend book, what struck me most was how it always seemed like he needed money.. you would think he'd have more money than he could ever spend!!

The Frank Zappa autobiography is GREAT, a really fun read. I think my copy was mangled somehow but I should reread that...

I received the Replacements book "Waxed Up Hair & Painted Shoes" as a Christmas gift. As much of a picture book as a straight-ahead bio...but it looks really cool.
