I find it interesting to look back at the end of the year to see how much I spent on music, & it's also helpful for compiling end-of-year lists.

Various Artists: "Polyvinyl Records Sampler 2010" (Amazon, $1.99) - I was looking for one song by Rainer Maria it was on this old comp that was only 1.99 figured why not the song itself was .99. a lotta good stuff on there I didn't know.

Nicole Atkins: "Slow Phaser" (her pledgemusic fundsharing thing, $10)

Sal's Birdland: "Nude Photos Inside" (ebay, $5) first album by band that would become Artificial Joy Club in 1995

Jake Bugg: "Shangri La" (deep discount, $10)

Nice to see someone else on here who uses PledgeMusic. I've bought several projects on there. And Deep Discount! The CD I bought above was the first time I'd ordered from them in awhile.

 deep discount used to be my go-to place to order CDs back when everything was free shipping.

I used to use them all the time, too. And they used to have those great annual sales.

Looking at my order history there, this is only the 2nd time I've bought from them in the last 2 years.

They did have the best price I found on the "Comedy Bang Bang Season 1" DVD, so I snagged that along with the Supersuckers CD.

 yeah Tom they finally released it on DVD. it's a good set but the biggest blunder is Chris Elliot and Adam Resnick aren't involved in anything (commentaries, special features, etc). There's bad blood between them and David Mirkin (the other creator of the show) and it must be pretty bad for them to skip out on doing anything for the DVD release… I once went to a screening in NYC that Elliott & Resnick were at and they talked about it but wouldn't refer to Mirkin by name, but everyone knew who they were talking about.

just got Hospitality "Trouble" just came out and was only 6.99 on Amazon mp3 store. Liked their first record so for 6.99 why not give it a go? Also picked up to old CDs by The Call for $5 each on eBay.
