Self-explanatory... A couple summers ago, I saw Van Halen for the first time. For whatever weird reason, I never saw them with Dave back in the day. I was a huge fan - had all the records - but just never saw them live. And when the first reunion tour with him came thru town, I blanched at the ticket prices....

what was your first concert? Mine was Thin Lizzy.. in SF.. DEc 19,1980. I was a freshman in high school, it was on the night of our first day of Christmas break. This show was amazing, not only my first, but one of my best!!

I'm thinking here of things that are outside of the mainstream pop/rock/country spectrum. Wednesday I'm going to a classical music concert at the new-ish Kauffman Performing Arts Center here in KC. Schoenberg and Prokofiev. As a big chamber music guy, I'm really looking forward to it.
